On the rainy night of April 13th, Lusher’s 2019 Junior/Senior Prom was held at Messina’s at the Terminal at the Lakefront Airport. This is the first time prom has been held at the Terminal.
“The venue was beautiful,”Junior Jerrime McAfee said. “The pattern of the floor and the balcony added to the scenery.”
“The art deco architecture at the venue gave more of a sophisticated feel to prom,” Junior Dom Tolliver added.
After dancing, dinner, and the admiring of gowns and tuxedos, Elizabeth Woodfox and Ryan Becnel were crowned Prom Queen and King of 2019. Adventure Laser-Tag hosted the after-party. The event went until the wee hours.
“I loved Senior Prom,” Senior Cassandra Nelson said. “It was definitely one of the best ways to end my last month of high school, and I won't forget it.”
“It was kinda cool. I ate dinner with my math teacher, Ms. Bourgeois,” Junior Will Hull said. “We talked about math.”
